In the good ol’ days, most uke players would have access to a songbook from 1920, found in the back of some old closet, and have to make do with that. It almost makes me giddy how easy and fun it is nowadays to find free ukulele songs and tabs so you can add variety and excitement and interest to your playing. How can you not love the obviously very silly Serious Band? And they have a vast and eclectic collection of free ukulele songs and tabs to download here. A nice selection for both high- and low-G ukes. Here’s another site I didn’t know about until I really went deep digging, featuring, of course, ukulele tabs for classical music. You also get 12 Major, Minor and Harmonic scales also arranged in standard and campanella styles. In the book you’ll find and amazing 16 standard and campanella challenges inspired by the classical pianist Charles L. I’ve found some very enjoyable free uke songs here in the past–including some oddities like tv theme songs and video game songs, and now he’s offering a free book. Christmas, hymns, “modern,” and more tabs for baritone uke than I’ve seen anywhere else. Here you will find hundreds of free finger-style and plectrum-style tabs for most tunings of ukulele.

Lots of trad jazz (including the nicest uke version I’ve found of Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans), blues, but a little David Bowie, too.
